Projects: Bewing

Bewing is a feature-length film that follows the sometimes poignant and often absurd attempts of a young woman to reconcile herself with a world she doesn't belong in. Contemporary dance is woven into the narrative fabric of the film as the protaganist's day-to-day activities – washing dishes or waiting at a crosswalk – transform into vibrant, fantastical episodes where she finds herself splashing in a sea of dish-soap icebergs, climbing on and hanging off unsupecting businessmen, or literally grappling with antler wings that sprout from her shoulders.

Created and directed by
Marissa Nielsen-Pincus and Zach Morris, and filmed and edited by Kathleen Green.
