ABOUT THE PROJECT

Yolk is a durational dance performance for two dancers and two 1970’s-era egg chairs, created for Grace Plaza. Born out of an Arts Brookfield-supported creative residency, the work furthers Third Rail Projects’ explorations in fusing dance, installation art, and performance within the public sphere. Set against the bustle of midtown Manhattan, Yolk is part time capsule and part hidden treasure, offering meditative movement and saturated images of ready-made goddesses transforming within a fragile shell.
